1.The short version
DICOS uses cookies for one thing: keeping you signed in. It also keeps a small amount of information in your browser’s local storage, on your own device, so the app can remember where you were.
No advertising or analytics tracker was found anywhere in the current DICOS codebase. There is no analytics dependency in the project, and nothing here follows you to other websites.
3.Browser local storage
Local storage is not a cookie. It stays on your device, is not sent with every request, and DICOS does not read it from its servers. These are the only keys DICOS writes:
| Key | What it is for |
|---|---|
| authEmail | Remembers the email address you last signed in with, so you do not have to retype it. |
| lastKnownEmail | The same address, kept so the app can recognise you between visits in the browser. |
| businessName | The business name for the project you are working on, so the interface can show it. |
| savedConversations | A local reference to your projects, so the app can find your work quickly. |
None of it is used for advertising or profiling. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings, which will sign you out and make the app forget your last-used details.
4.Controlling cookies
Your browser can block or delete cookies. If you block the authentication cookies DICOS will not be able to sign you in, and the product will not work — they are not optional in the way a tracking cookie would be. If you want to know exactly what is set for your account, ask us at DICOS.TECH@proton.me.
5.If this changes
This page describes the software as it is today. If DICOS ever adds analytics, advertising, session recording or any other tracking, this page must be updated before that code ships, and consent requirements must be reconsidered at the same time.
